At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York City frontline workers were putting themselves in harm’s way and working impossibly long shifts. World Central Kitchen, in conjunction with Bloomberg Philanthropies, looked to offer frontliners relief by cooking them delicious, warm meals.

THE EXECUTION
Prepped, cooked, and served hot, delicious meals to NYC Health and Hospital Systems workers throughout all five boroughs
Fleet of branded, mobile kitchens
Oversaw all scheduling, routing, and logistics
Sourced and integrated 15 New York-based businesses
Celebrity chef and humanitarian, Jose Andrés, was onsite to lend a hand and bring awareness
THE RESULTS
1MM+ meals were served to frontliners
Program employed 110 staff members during an economic recession
